Hello MIA - I wanted to give you a hug for taking care of your daddy. My mom in law had Alzheimers - she lived with us for thee years with me being the primary caregiver - i am sure you know the burn out that accompanies - the facility we found for her could not have been better. My heart goes out to you at this time. It is a cruel disease - and of course the patient is confident that any problem that exists is with YOU and not them ;p) Her first week in her new living arrangement she told me it was full of "ancient, absent minded people" and/or they were "all off their rocker". That was the continual refrain and yet it was obvious she was content in her new home. My prayers are with you.

Glad to see your back! Been missing you terribly!

The clinics I have spoken to all basically say the same thing. You can pretty much expect to see a range of about 5 - 7 pounds either way when your done. I have found this to be true the more I see people who tend to have longer breaks.

WELCOME BACK!

Hey honey! Welcome back :) No worries about not posting, okay? Just do what you have to do.

I am glad to hear you are maintaining. You sound just like me with the eating patterns and holding strong at the five pound over mark. I am at 6 and holding strong. I gained it all during my scheduled break over Christmas but have not gained an ounce more. So yea!! Doesnt it feel great to have a metabolism that is working now?? :)

Take care

I came across your blog and read it with interest. I started Day 1 Load Day and already had 2 cans of corn beef hash (96 fat grms) and 8 Hershey nuggets (26 fat grams) and a tl. of 1190 calories. I sure hope I do all of this right! - very anxious. My question is, where did you get the recipes for your lunches/dinners/desserts? - Thai cucumber salad, onion rings, orange julius...etc.? When I hit Day 1 of the VLCD, I sure would like to have some good recipes in place to start off on the right foot.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks, Terry

Hey honey...so sorry I have not had a chance to post. Gosh I feel like a heel.
I will pray for your family....that is so scary about your Dad. In times like this it is hard to say "the right thing" but just know you are not in this alone. The Holy Spirit is always there with you....of course we are here too. If you ever need anything just ask, okay?

So I do miss ya chica....let us know how everything is going and how your Dad is doing.
